Privacy Policy

Last updated October 20, 2026

Swivot ("Swivot", "we", "us") provides software that helps lawn care and home service companies manage customers, schedules, crews, completed work and payments. This policy explains what information the Swivot website, web app (swivot.app) and Swivot iPhone app collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Who this applies to

This policy covers company users (owners, admins and crew members who sign in to Swivot) and customers of those companies whose information is entered into Swivot. Each lawn care company controls the customer records it creates. If you are a customer, the company that services your property is responsible for those records, and you can also contact us using the details below.

Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email address, password (stored hashed), company name and role.
  • Customer contact information: customer names, email addresses, phone numbers and service addresses entered by a company.
  • Job and service content: schedules, recurring services, job notes, crew assignments, hours worked and service history.
  • Photos: photos of completed work that a user chooses to take or attach.
  • Customer feedback: private reviews, optional tips and referral requests submitted through customer links.
  • Payment information: payment identifiers, amounts and status, and limited payment-method details such as card or bank type and last four digits. Full card and bank account numbers are entered directly with Stripe and are never stored by Swivot.
  • Messaging preferences: text-message consent, the phone number it applies to, and delivery status.
  • Technical information: server logs such as IP address, browser or device type and error details, used to keep the service secure and working.

Device permissions

The iPhone app asks for camera and photo library access only when you choose to attach photos to a job. These permissions are optional and can be changed at any time in iOS Settings. The app does not request your location; maps are based on the service addresses saved in Swivot.

How we use information

  • To provide, operate and secure your Swivot account and your company's workspace.
  • To schedule and document services and send job-related emails and, where consented, text messages.
  • To process payments for services and optional tips through Stripe.
  • To provide support, investigate problems and improve the service.
  • To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use information for cross-app advertising, and the Swivot app does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

How information is shared

Information is shared only as needed to run the service:

  • With the lawn care company and its team members who use Swivot to serve you.
  • With service providers that process data on our behalf: Stripe (payments), Cloudinary (photo storage), Amazon Web Services (hosting), our email delivery provider, and Telnyx (opted-in text messages).
  • When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and Swivot.
  • As part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

Text messages

Customers receive scheduling texts only after opting in. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help, or use the text preferences link in your service emails. Mobile numbers and SMS consent are not shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as it is needed to provide the service. You can delete your Swivot user account at any time in the app under Profile → Delete account. Deleting a user account removes your login and access tokens. Company service and transaction records may be retained for business, accounting, dispute and legal purposes, and records belonging to other company members are not deleted. Companies can request closure of their workspace by contacting us.

Your choices and rights

You can access and update your account information in Profile. You may ask us to access, correct or delete personal information by emailing hello@swivot.net. We may need to verify your identity first. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them as required.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and sign-in tokens on iPhone are kept in the device's secure storage. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Children

Swivot is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here and update the date above.
